wimaxOn the occasion of the WiMAX Forum Congress Asia, held recently in Taipei (Taiwan), manufacturer Samsung confirmed its commitment to mobile broadband and WiMAX in particular. Samsung has committed to integrate it into its future phones to make 4G Reference.

The second generation WiMAX is based on the IEEE 802.16m defined by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). It allows faster communication, latency and a much lower capacity Voice over IP (VoIP) far superior. Current services are based on mobile WiMAX standard IEEE 802.16e less efficient.

For those without hearing, the use of mobile phones has been limited to text messages. But technology is being upgraded enough for a group of researchers from Cornell University and colleagues have now created mobile phones that enable deaf people to communicate in sign language, just as normal with people with hearing to discuss phone use.

According to MIT Technology Review, Scientific Konark Technologies in Lowell, MA, have invented a new form of solar cell which is composed of thin strips of plastic about 10 cm. by 5cm (similar to the videotape) that can convert light into electricity.Joining a few of these strips, you can generate power capable of running a small fan. According to an article published on March 28, 2007 at InternetNews.com, President and CEO John Philip Coghlan Visa said that consumers are ready for mobile payments and it is time to act. He believes mobile devices are currently the most promising payment platform.
