Yahoo Japan, the largest Internet portal in Japan, takes the search engine Google, after refusing to follow Yahoo Inc in its choice of Microsoft as a partner.

Yahoo Japan, which currently uses search technology from Yahoo Inc. and Google together, would control most of the search market in the second largest economy.
