Global analysis of mercury contamination
In search of wealth and power in the last 5,000 years, humans have released into the environment 385,000 tons of mercury, according to the results of a new study that challenges the idea that emissions of mercury to the environment have declined in recent times.
The issue is important, taking into account the toxicity of mercury and its capacity to harm the environment. The results of this research have been presented in the Journal of Environmental Science & Technology, American Chemical Society (ACS).
